Happy WomanWhat would you like to manifest in your life that will become your desired reality? Do you have a clear image for yourself? Are your thoughts, affirmations, and actions aligned with this image?

Creative visualisation is no doubt one of the most magical and powerful techniques that you can learn to create your reality. It is one of the primary tools we can use for attaining our life’s ambitions. It is a mind tool that enables you to consciously design your future or improve your health and well-being. It can be the key for motivating our inner drives and firing up our energies in order to focus our mind to achieve those deeply held desires.

How Does It Work?

By creating a vivid picture in your mind, you can create what you want to have happen in your life. It is part imagination, part desire, part belief and part focus. Infuse these parts with a mighty intent and just about anything is possible. It can be a goal-achieving tool, a personal experiment, even a spiritual journey. However you use it, creative visualization will take you from wishing to believing; from “wanting” to “having.”

Impressing the image of our ‘desires’ upon our subconscious on a regular basis is like painting a target for a missile. Our mind will move us ever closer to our goals as long as we keep that target – our pictured desires – in clear focus through regular guidance via our visualisation sessions. Maxwell Maltz in his classic book ‘Psycho-Cybernetics’ says of the creative imagination that it “sets the goal picture which our automatic mechanism works on” (Maltz, 1960, p.28).

Some people reckon it to the process that is similar to daydreaming. For some people, it might look like magic, but there is no magic involved: only the natural process of the power of thoughts and natural mental laws. It is like having a genie at your disposal!

When Do I Use Creative Visualisation?

You can use creative visualization to help you get a job, to find or deepen a relationship, improve mental abilities, lose weight, for anything you desire. You can use it for immediate rewards, like a successful job interview or more comfortable social situation, or to solve a problem or affect an outcome. You can use it for a longer term project like moving to a new house or completing a degree.

Used in the right way, creative visualisation can improve our life and attract success and prosperity. It is a power that can alter our environment and circumstances, cause events to happen, attract money, possessions, work, people and love into our lives. It uses the power of your mind, and is the power behind every success.

A focused manWhat Are the Benefits?

Creative Visualisation can:

  • Activate your creative subconscious which will start generating creative ideas to achieve your goal;
  • Support and maintain your motivation and ambition;
  • Assist concentration and focus;
  • Affect your attitude and daily life in a positive, powerful way;
  • Program your brain to more readily perceive and recognise the resources you will need to achieve your dreams;
  • Activate the Law of Attraction, thereby drawing into your life the people, resources, and circumstances you will need to achieve your goals;
  • Build your internal motivation to take the necessary actions to achieve your dreams.

In one of the most well-known studies on Creative Visualisation in sports, Russian scientists compared four groups of Olympic athletes in terms of their training schedules:

  • Group 1 = 100% physical training;
  • Group 2 – 75% physical training with 25% mental training;
  • Group 3 – 50% physical training with 50% mental training;
  • Group 4 – 25% physical training with 75% mental training.

Group 4, with 75% of their time devoted to mental training, performed the best. “The Soviets had discovered that mental images can act as a prelude to muscular impulses.” (R. Scaglione & W. Cummins, Karate of Okinawa: Building Warrior Spirit, Tuttle Publishing, 1993).

This idea isn’t new though as the great masters of Eastern martial arts have always emphasized the importance and use of Creative Visualization to supplement physical training and as a path to mental and physical well being.

Today, it is rare for any successful athlete, professional or amateur, to not regularly use some form of mental imagery.  Why?  IT WORKS!

What About Vision Boards?

One of the most effective tools of creative visualisation is creating a vision board. A vision board contains images that you can have on display in your immediate environment for seeing the images of your desired targets every day, and programming them into your subconscious mind.

Dr Simons Vision BoardGhandi says, “Carefully watch your thoughts, for they become your words. Manage and watch your words, for they will become your actions. Consider and judge your actions, for they have become your habits. Acknowledge and watch your habits, for they shall become your values. Understand and embrace your values, for they become your destiny.”

A vision board is thus a framework for the process of creating your life and works perfectly with the creative visualisation process. Energy follows thought. Thought is Creative. By creating a vision board, you are one step closer to manifesting your dreams in reality. The purpose of a vision board is to activate the Law of Attraction to begin to pull things from your external environment that will enable you to realize your dream. By selecting the pictures and writing that charges your emotions with feelings of passion, you will begin to manifest those things into your life.

The Results4Life Creative Visualisation Workshop

In this workshop, we will:

  • discuss the secret of creative visualization, and how we can clearly understand them in order to get the best results;
  • explore ways to tap into what our goals and desires are for ourselves;
  • master the technique developing the power of visualisation;
  • identify what some of the stumbling blocks may be, and how we can skilfully deal with negative imaginings;
  • create your own vision boards;
  • develop some artistic language skills;
  • engage in some other exercises to open ourselves creatively and define our dreams;
  • learn how to use the natural power of creative visualisation in your own life;
  • empower your mind, body and spiritual life and become a person of greater power for good.

You will learn many ‘take home’ techniques for use on an ongoing basis.
The workshop is 3 hours, and is divided into three steps.

Step One: What Do You Want In Your Life? (1 hour)

In this first hour, I will guide you as you identify:

  • where you are right now – yourself, your emotions, and life in general
  • what you would like to create in your life
  • when you want these goals to manifest exactly.
  • This process will be conducted using reflection, creative visualisation and group discussion.

Step Two: Create Your Own Vision Board (1 hour)

In this second hour, we will bring your vision to life by cutting and pasting your dreams and desires onto a vision board. Boards, stationery and coloured markers are provided, and you are encouraged to bring your own pictures, especially photos. However, magazines are also provided for you to select images from.

This is a fun relaxing and sociable space to manifest your vision with others. It is like programming your unconscious mind to focus on getting you what you want.

Step Three: Be Guided Through Powerful Creative Visualization (1 hour)

Dr Simon will guide you through an imaginative creative visualization leaving you grounded, relaxed, focused and energized. Through hypnotherapy, you will now bring to ‘life’ the physical images from your vision board in your subconscious.

As Stephen Covey said, “…all things are created twice. There’s the mental or first creation, and a physical or second creation to all things.”

You will also be guided to develop your own affirmations for each visual goal. Using the process of Strategic Visioning, you will embed your dreams and goals in your future timeline, thus opening pathways for opportunities, resources and positive energy to support your goals.
